Director of Youth and Young Adult Evangelization

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise is looking for a candidate for the position of Director of Youth and Young Adult Evangelization. The Director of Youth and Young Adult Evangelization supports the mission of the Diocese of Boise by assisting the bishop and working collaboratively with clergy, catechetical personnel, and other diocesan staff to develop, strengthen, and promote authentic and effective faith formation experiences for young adults, youth and our campus ministries throughout the diocese.  Specifically, the Director provides consultation, support, leadership formation, and resources to those engaged in youth, young adult ministry and campus ministry.  This position will involve traveling across the Diocese, which covers the entire state of Idaho.

 Associate Director of Young Adult Ministry

The Office of Formation and Discipleship (OFD) for the Archdiocese of Atlanta has an immediate opening for a full-time Associate Director of Young Adult Ministry. The Associate Director of Young Adult Ministry, under the supervision of the OFD Director, is responsible for providing specialized expertise for young adult ministry and campus ministry needs, with an emphasis on advancing the mission of evangelization and discipleship formation among young adults (ages 18-39). This person must network among ministry leaders and develop, identify and promote resources and models for comprehensive and effective ministry to and with young adults in parishes, colleges and other auxiliary arenas throughout the Archdiocese of Atlanta.  Qualified candidates must have a master’s degree in theology, pastoral ministry, religious education or other related field; a minimum of five years of leadership experience in diocesan or parish religious education/formation; leadership experience in ministry to young adults, especially ministry in multicultural settings and a practicing Catholic with pastoral ministry experience with multicultural content. Archdiocesan Director for Youth and Young Adult Ministry

A full-time position exists in the Secretariat of Education, Evangelization and Catechesis, for a full-time Director for Youth and Young Adult Ministry who will be responsible for providing support, resources, and training to those who minister to youth/young adults in the parishes of the Archdiocese of Hartford. 

Important aspects of this position will include, but not limited to; providing consultative services to all parishes in the areas of youth and young adult ministry; collaborating with Catholic High Schools; coordinating formational and skill training for parish ministry leaders; and, managing Archdiocesan events which will effectively lead youth and young adults to deepen their relationship with Christ. 

A graduate degree in Theology, Religious Education, or similar, is required.

Program and Marriage Preparation Coordinator

The Diocese of Richmond is seeking a Program and Marriage Preparation Coordinator to work on a collaborative team to assist in managing the nearly 150 programs and events sponsored by the Office for Evangelization, Office of Social Ministries, and Center for Marriage, Family, and Life.  These programs and events range from 25 to 3,000 participants of all ages and demographics.  In addition, the Coordinator oversees the implementation of the Diocesan Marriage Preparation Program (Unveiled). This includes coordinating the logistics pertaining to each class, identification, development and supervision of facilitators, and ongoing maintenance of the marriage preparation program. 

This is a full-time (minimum of 35 hours per week) position. Regular night and weekend hours may be required throughout the year, especially for diocesan programs. The position is based out of the Diocesan Pastoral Center in Richmond and requires travel to parishes or other event venues in the diocese. 

Qualifications: This position requires the successful candidate to be a practicing Catholic in good standing with a strong working knowledge of relevant Church documents. Bachelor’s Degree is required. Must possess certification in Event Planning, Coordination or Management, or a willingness to work towards it.

Full-time Secretariat Director for Christian Community: Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth

The Archdiocese of San Antonio is seeking a full-time qualified candidate for the position of Secretariat Director for Christian Community: Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth.  The Director serves the multicultural pastoral needs of children, youth, young adults, adults (as couples, and also men and women separately) and seniors; provides leadership, vision, and content which will serve as the foundational part of resources to parishes and Catholic organizations in the development of the vocation of the laity, marriage, family life & youth and other ministerial programs as assigned.  Director is also the representative is also the representative of the Archbishop in matters pertaining to supporting the Laity and Family ministry leadership in parishes and schools providing for opportunities on formation and spiritual growth.

Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Theology, preferable in matters of the Laity or Marriage and Family Life; and at least three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience as well as a thorough working knowledge of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the General Directory of Catechesis, the National Directory for Catechesis, and current developments in the Church’s theology of the vocation of the laity, marriage and family life, particularly as expressed in the writings and vision of St. John Paul II, papal and Episcopal documents and Canon Law.  Candidates must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills; success working with committees; strong public relations skills; proficiency of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher); and excellent organizational skills.  Candidates must be Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church and Bilingual in Spanish and English required.  Ability to work evenings and weekends when needed.


Regional Coordinator (Archdiocese of Washington)

The mission of the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington is to spread the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. In the faithful pursuit of this mission, the archdiocese is seeking a Regional Coordinator in the Office of Youth Ministry.

The Regional Coordinator will support parishes in evangelizing young people by promoting effective parish and regional youth ministry in his/her region. Work in a hands-on fashion with Pastors, Youth Ministers, Directors of Religious Education, high school and college Campus Ministers, and Young Adult Ministry leaders to promote the lifelong faith formation of young people through the development of comprehensive parish youth ministry. Facilitate networking and provide resources and consultation services for youth ministers. Assist youth ministers in their professional development leading to Archdiocesan and National certification. Support the efforts of parishes in implementing the Archdiocese of Washington 2014 Synod Recommendations, Archdiocesan policies and procedures, and the development of Vital Parish.

Education: Bachelor’s degree with five years of experience or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in Theology, Youth Ministry, Pastoral Studies, or related field.
