Aid for Women Vitae Corps - Live-In Volunteer Staff

Location: Chicagoland area - Chicago, IL

Job Description: Vitae Corps members are female college graduates who volunteer by living and working together in community at our residential programs to help provide our residents with safe and nurturing homes. Vitae Corps members are dedicated to Aid for Women’s pro-life mission and play a vital role in affirming and supporting each mother in her decision to choose life — providing her with the emotional, practical and spiritual support she and her baby need while participating in our residential programs. Vitae Corps members serve as one-on-one mentors, meeting the individual needs of each resident; l support Aid for Women staff with resident programming and development; serve as mothers’ helpers, providing babysitting as needed and supporting mothers in proper childcare; and much more.

Retreat Staff Member

Location: La Salle Manor Retreat Center. Plano, IL (55 miles southwest of Chicago)

Job Description: We are searching for a person with contagious faith, desire to work with youth and passion for retreat ministry. The Retreat Staff Member will work with a four-person team facilitating overnight retreats for high school students, while living and serving in community life. Retreat Staff Members live on site in separate modern housing from the retreat center within the context of a vibrant Lasallian community. La Salle Manor Retreat Center is located in a beautiful log cabin setting on 47 acres in Plano, IL (55 miles southwest of Chicago). Benefits include room/board, complete medical, vehicle usage, salary and more. Preferred candidates have a college degree, live an active spiritual life, and have some experience working retreats or within youth ministry.

Qualifications include a college degree preferred (concentration in Theology a plus), youth ministry experience preferred, and a desire to live on-site in Lasallian Community

Christian Service Coordinator

Location: Connelly School of the Holy Child, Potomac, MD

Job Description: Responsibilities include working with all stakeholders to build a network of support for service opportunities. This person will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing the school’s community’s outreach efforts and facilitating a Middle School elective course promoting service learning, exploration, and reflection. The position involves working to integrate a spirit of service into the daily life of the school and the students through the prayers and liturgies, in the classroom, and through regular and meaningful service experiences and reflection.  

Successful candidates should have experience working with students in grades 6-12 in service learning, along with enthusiasm, and commitment to Gospel values. This person should possess organizational skills and willingness and time to lead and chaperone diverse local, national, and international service experiences. A Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Campus Minister

Location: Boylan Catholic High School, Rockford, IL

Job Description: Under the supervision of the Principal and in coordination with the Spiritual Director, the Campus Minister helps create an environment which encourages and guides all members to contribute to the Catholic identity of the school and the formation of a faith community which responds to the diverse spiritual needs of the students, teachers, staff and parents. In collaboration with the administration, faculty, staff, parents, and students, the Campus Minister provides leadership in the ministerial, liturgical, pastoral and spiritual life of Boylan Catholic High School.   

Qualifications:

Minimum of a B.A. in Theology or Religious studies. Previous experience in youth ministry or working with youth in a high school, college, or parish setting. Must be an active, practicing Catholic. Understand, embrace, and be able to articulate the mission and vision of Boylan Catholic High School.
