What/Why

The NFCYM Collaborating Members are sponsoring the Catholic Youth Ministry Angel Golf Tournament in recognition and celebration of NFCYM's 25th Anniversary.

The tournament will benefit the Catholic Youth Foundation USA, which supports youth ministry programs when dioceses, parishes, or schools can only supply incomplete or inconsistent funds. The foundation’s goals include, training youth ministers, reaching out to youth in crisis, developing multicultural and minority Catholic youth involvement, and aiding the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops in their ministry to young people.

When

Sunday, December 3, 2006, following the conclusion of the 2006 National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministry.

Where

Angel Park Golf Club, which features two championship golf courses where PGA and LGPA tournaments have been held; Cloud Nine Course, a par three 12-hole course; and a 18-hole putting course with holes modeled after some of the most famous golf holes in the world. The resort location features a stone patio balcony that overlooks a beautiful mountain view.

Who

The tournament is open to NCCYM participants, their guests, and other Catholic youth ministry supporters.

How to Participate

The tournament features challenging golf for the avid golfer, fun golf for the amateur golfer, and fun on the putting course for the non-golfer (but Catholic youth ministry supporter!).

1. Angel Park Golf Tournament (Two-person team scramble format)

Cost: $125

Time: Depart hotel 12:00 p.m. and return between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Includes cart and fees for 18 holes of golf, 10 raffles tickets for grand prizes, drink ticket, bag lunch, dinner at the golf club, transportation to/from the golf club, a CYMA angel pin, and lots of free gifts from our collaborating member sponsors.

Golf clubs will be delivered to course for golfers or golf clubs can be rented for an additional fee.

2. Cloud Nine Par Three Tournament and Archangel Putting Tournament (Individual Competition)

Cost: $75

Time: Depart hotel 2:00 p.m. and return between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Includes cart and fees for 12 holes of par 3 golf and fees for playing the 18-hole putting course and tournament, 10 raffles tickets for grand prizes, drink ticket, dinner at the golf club, transportation to/from the golf club, a CYMA angel pin, and lots of free gifts from our collaborating member sponsors.

3. Archangel Putting Tournament (Individual Competition)

Cost: $50

Time: Depart hotel 2:00 p.m. and return between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Includes fees for playing the 18-hole putting course tournament, 10 raffles tickets for grand prizes, two drink tickets, dinner at the golf club, transportation to/from the golf club, a CYMA angel pin, and lots of free gifts from our collaborating member sponsors.

4. Tournament Dinner Only

Cost: $35

Time: Hotel departure TBA. Return between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Includes dinner at the golf club, transportation to/from the club, a CYMA angel pin, and 10 raffle tickets.

5. Pre-Tournament Fun

Cost: $5

During NCCYM, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase Catholic Youth Ministry Angel Pins and enter the on-site Putting Hole Contest for prizes from Collaborating Member sponsors.

6. Guardian Angel Memorials ($25 to $100)

Individuals, dioceses, organizations, and regions can memorialize a person who has been a "Guardian Angel" to them by making a donation of $25 to $100 to the Catholic Youth Foundation USA. The name of each "Guardian Angel" will be posted at the Angel Tournament booth at NCCYM and at the tournament site.
