A Look at Our Theme...
In the midst of the desert, a seemingly lifeless landscape, a flower blooms. This living promise of hope also reflects our ministry to and with young people. Over the past few years, those who share in this ministry have been called to walk with faith through the challenges and trials of numerous desert experiences. In so doing, we stand as living witnesses to the presence of God, the light of Christ and the movement of the Holy Spirit at work through this dynamic ministry to the young church.
Come join together with colleagues this December, in the Nevada desert amidst the neon lights and breathtaking images of a city bursting with life, in order to gather, grow and bloom in the profession that is Youth Ministry.
Daily Themes
Each day the conference general session will focus on a particular theme that will help us to bloom in our ministry.
Thursday, November 30: Rise Up!
Awake! It’s time to join together in song, prayer and celebration to ready ourselves for this disciple-forming ministry we share.
Friday, December 1: Spreading the Good News of a New Day
A new day of ministry greets us with unimaginable possibilities and potential. In this new day, we are challenged to stretch wide our arms and reach out with an inclusive and authentic embrace of the gospel and the young people we announce it to.
Saturday, December 2: The Work of Our Hands
Daily we toil together in the vineyard, laboring for a purpose larger than life itself. Every so often it is good to step back and examine the fruits of our work and to remember why.
Sunday, December 3: Light on the Horizon
As the first light of Advent illuminates a new year for our church, so too are we called to illuminate the world with hope for what can be.
