Service Projects

The 2005 thematic park committee has developed Teen 2 Teen, a hands-on service area within Peachtree Corners. Help is needed with three service projects:

  • We Care packages
  • a canned good drive, and
  • blanket ministry.

We Care Packages

Reach out to teens in need by making care packages to send:

  • locally to teens in foster homes (Thursday),
  • nationally to teens whose parents are serving in the military abroad and those in the Gulf Coast region devastated by Hurricane Katrina (Friday), and
  • internationally to teens at St. John Bosco’s Home for Boys in Jamaica! (Saturday)

Please bring a new or gently used backpack(s) to donate!

World’s Largest Twister Game to Beat Hunger

On Saturday, participants will Twist For Hunger on the world’s largest Twister board.

Please bring a canned good(s) to donate!

Blanket Ministry

Participants will make blankets for premature babies and bandanas for children who have lost their hair due to medical treatment for cancer. Materials will be provided.

MORE

Participants are also asked to name Home Town Heroes. Turn in friends, youth ministers, and chaperones. Send an email explaining why your home town hero should be recognized for outstanding service to your church or community. Send your email to: richandjanice@bellsouth.net.
