CHAPEL AND PRAYER ROOM ACTIVITIES


Adoration Chapel

Located in Room B218 on Level Two of the Georgia World Congress Center, the Adoration Chapel is available for quite prayer. The following activities will also take place:

Rosary

Mary, our mother, has promised great graces to anyone who calls upon her with the rosary. Join one of our bishops or priests as he meditates upon the saving mysteries of Christ’s life in this great Marian prayer.
Thursday at 3:30 p.m., Friday at 11:15 a.m., Saturday at 6:00 p.m.

Adoration

Christ is waiting for us in the Blessed Sacrament. Come into the Adoration Chapel alone or with a group to spend a few moments in silence before the Lord of heaven and earth. He loves you and wants to be close to you in the great mystery of the Eucharist.
Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday from 11:15 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

NOTE: On Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. adoration will take place in the Murphy Ballroom as part of XLT.

Vespers

For centuries, the church has praised God with the ancient Hebrew psalms. Join one of our bishops or religious communities to worship God with the church’s own evening prayer.
Daily at 6:30 p.m.

Benediction

Christ is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament! He desires to give you his blessing through this ancient and beautiful rite of the Church.
Daily at 7:00 p.m.

Divine Mercy Chaplet

Our Lord wants us to praise him and ask his mercy for ourselves and for the whole earth. Join one of our bishops in this great prayer to our merciful Lord.
Friday and Saturday at 3:15 p.m.

Prayer Room

Room B216-217 on Level Two of the Georgia World Congress Center has been designated the Prayer Room. A variety of prayer experiences will be available throughout NCYC. Stop by and take part in one or all of the opportunities to pray in different ways.

Guided Meditation

Close your eyes, lean back, and take a spiritual journey towards the Lord.

Gospel of Mark

Living Stations of the Cross

Come and see Christ’s last hours before the crucifixion portrayed with a beauty and starkness that will give you a whole new love for our savior’s gift of himself!

Prayer of the Nations

Experience prayers in various languages in this multi-cultural hour of prayer. Whether you speak the language and can join in, or will need to just listen, all are welcome to the prayer of nations.
Friday at 5:45 p.m.

Taizé Prayer

Hear the beautiful musical prayer developed by the Taizé ecumenical community in France. Its haunting melodies will raise your soul in prayer to the Lord!
Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

St. John Neumann Band

Join the St. John Neumann Life Teen band for vibrant spiritual music that will raise your hearts and hands to the Lord!
Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

20/20/20

Often in our busy lives we fail to take the time to listen for God's voice. This hour of prayer is designed help do just that. It begins with twenty minutes of listening in the silence, followed by twenty minutes of journaling whatever comes to mind, and closes with twenty minutes of sharing our experience with others.

Divine Mercy Prayer

Jesus has come to give us life! In his special revelation to Saint Faustina, he has revealed how much he loves us. Come experience the greatness of his love and mercy!

Shadow Stations of the Cross

See the forms of actors behind a curtain presenting Christ’s touching steps as he bears the wood of the cross for our redemption.
Saturday at 5:00 p.m.

Reconciliation Room

In Room B218 on Level Two of the Georgia World Congress Center you can experience the healing of the sacrament of reconciliation.

  • Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Friday from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.to 7:00 p.m.
