Youth Minister

Location: St. George Catholic Church, Baton Rouge, LA

Job Description: St. George Catholic Church is seeking a Youth Minister to develop a program at a vibrant Catholic parish in Baton Rouge, LA with over 3,300 families. Responsibilities include faith formation, retreats, service programs. Applicant must be willing to work with the Directors of Confirmation and Child Faith Formation as well as a pastoral team. Applicants must be a practicing Catholic, confirmed and in full communion with the Church. An applicant should have a bachelor’s degree in theology or education. Prior youth ministry experience is preferred and considered in lieu of education. Basic Diocesan religious certification or equivalent with a commitment to continuing professional religious education and Youth Ministry certification will be required. Full-time Director of Youth Ministry

Job Description: The Director of Youth Ministry is responsible for overseeing and coordinating evangelization and catechetical efforts to reach the youth within the parish boundaries of Our Lady Queen of Heaven. In an effort to deepen the integration of faith into all areas of life for the young people, this position will conduct a gradual process of formation which ends with commissioning teens to radical discipleship of Jesus Christ to leave lasting impacts on the Church for years to come. Faith Formation Coordinator

The Youth Minister is responsible for the evangelization and formation of students as joyful disciples and their integration into the parish life. Coordinate Middle School events that inspire and motivate students to participate in the life of the parish. Research, develop, and propose a comprehensive curriculum for middle students to grow in the Catholic faith and in community. Ensure compliance of the Diocese of Austin Ethics and Integrity in Ministry policies for youth, and volunteers. Spend 30 minutes in the Eucharistic Adoration chapel every workday. Bachelor Degree in Theology, Religious Education, Pastoral Ministry, or a related field of study from an accredited American university or equivalent in a foreign country. Two years of experience in a parish. Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing.


Director of Youth Ministry

Job Description: St. Anastasia Parish in sunny St. Augustine is seeking a full-time faith filled youth minister to organize, implement and lead the total Youth Ministry Program at the parish. This position provides a dynamic and comprehensive program for our M.S. (grades 6-8) and H.S. (grades 9-12) youth to prepare them for a life of discipleship through moral formation, catechesis, service, retreats, fellowship and faith-filled activities.
