Q&A with Matt Alpaugh, Director of Mission Advancement

Where are you based?
I work remotely from the Ocean State, Rhode Island.

How long have you worked for
NFCYM?
I’m celebrating 3 years with NFCYM this month.

Outside of work, what do you like to do?
I love spending time with my wife, working on our 1860s cottage, and surfing – I surfed 115 days straight this summer!

What is something about you that most folks might not know?
I was once the mascot for my college basketball team. Go Bonnies!

What you do at NFCYM?

As the Director of Mission Advancement, I  foster critical areas of internal and external resources, relationships, and funding in an effort to advance the mission of NFCYM. I connect NFCYM to the people, places, and organizations that can help us grow our ministry by sharing the story of NFCYM.

What is the best part about your job – why do you do what you do?
The best part of my job are connections and relationships I have been able make. It is a great joy to be a part of something bigger than I am and take a journey with passionate, caring, and committed people.

Why should members connect with you?
I’ve worked with faith-based non-profits for nearly 15 years. I’m here to be a great resource and thought partner to help get your “next big thing” off the ground.
