Wishing you many Christmas blessings
As we approach the end of Advent and look forward to celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, I pray we may all hold on to the hope, peace, and joy of this season.
Hope – we are called to place our hope in God, our Father, knowing He will always provide for us, His beloved children.
“You are my hope, Lord; my trust, GOD, from my youth.
On you I have depended since birth;
from my mother’s womb you are my strength;
my hope in you never wavers.”– Psalm 71:5-6
Peace – despite the chaos of the world today, may we find rest by recalling God’s power and strength.
“His dominion is vast and forever peaceful;
Upon David’s throne, and over his kingdom,
which he confirms and sustains;
By judgment and justice, both now and forever.
The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.”
– Isaiah 9:7
Joy – happiness is temporary, but our joy in Christ is eternal, knowing He is always with us.
“Blessed the people who know the joyful shout;
in the light of your countenance, O LORD, they walk.
At your name they rejoice all the day,
and through your justice they are exalted.”
– Psalm 89:16-17
With all this in mind, my prayer for you in 2021 is this:
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
– Romans 15:13
Have a Blessed Christmas and Happy New Year!
