Bishops are invited to join us as special guests for NCYC

This year presents an additional level of safety as we still negotiate and live with COVID-19. Through consultation with public health officials and learning from mitigation strategies employed by other event hosts, we have published a set of safety guidelines that we ask all participants to follow as we work together for a safe NCYC. You can read all the steps we are taking to mitigate risks and keep everyone safe here.

Note all NCYC participants must…

  • Either receive a negative COVID-19 test result no more than 72 hours before departure to Indianapolis or are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Wear a face covering (aka, mask) that covers their nose and mouth while in the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium, except during designated breaks and while actively eating or drinking in the designated areas. Speakers, artists, and others who appear on a stage may remove their masks while on stage.

All adults at NCYC are required to abide by the NCYC COVID-19 Mitigation Guidelines, NFCYM Adult Code of Conduct, NCYC Behavior Guidelines, and must complete this online form before arrival at Indianapolis or receiving credentials.

Since 1983 NCYC has continually served as an impactful anchor point in the faith journey of the young Church and continues to be a reminder that there is a thriving national community of young Catholics.

NCYC is a great way for bishops to engage and interact with the young church. It is an opportunity to celebrate the Eucharist, confer the sacrament of Reconciliation, and to witness for young people the joy in your vocation to the priesthood. The 12,000 young Catholics who are anticipated to attend NCYC this year are excited to share their stories, ask questions, receive blessings, and enjoy your presence as they witness Jesus Christ.
