Diocesan Missionary Team Worship Leader – Full Time, Diocese of Charleston

Do you want to make a difference in Catholic young people’s lives?  We are looking for young adults between 18-28 years of age to proclaim the “Good News” to the youth of the Diocese of Charleston as missionaries!

Based out of beautiful and historic downtown Charleston, the DMT’s main ministry outreach is leading retreats for young people throughout the diocese.  When the DMT is not giving retreats, they will serve at a parish, a Catholic high school, or campus ministry in the Charleston area. The worship leader must be able to play an instrument, preferably guitar or keyboard, and be a strong vocalist in order to lead others in authentic worship during retreats.

Each DMT member will receive:  a generous stipend, housing, meals, training, community, transportation and all the support you need to be effective ministers to our youth. What we ask of each member of the DMT is the following:  a strong Catholic faith life, the heart of a servant, the ability to live in community and the ability to serve from August 18, 2020 to June 12, 2021.

Application must be submitted by April 14, 2020. Please make note of your desire to be the team worship leader in the application.

Director for Parish Life and Pastoral Care – Full Time, Diocese of San Antonio

The Director for Parish Life and Pastoral Care will be responsible for managing two teams, Parish Life and Pastoral Care. As Director of Parish Life, he/she will manage resources of the office in accordance with Church Magisterium and Archdiocesan pastoral priorities and goals, to the development and support of the parish and its pastoral ministries of the Archdiocese of San Antonio. As Director of Pastoral Care, he/she will manage and oversee the Pastoral Care team, comprised of the following ministries: Campus Ministry, Criminal Justice Ministry, Deaf Ministry, and Hospital Ministry. The Director will work with the Ministry Directors to support them in accomplishing their tasks according to the direction and priorities of the Archbishop in collaboration with the Moderator of the Curia. The Director directly supervises the work of employees, providing leadership and support in accordance with Archdiocesan mission and governing policies and procedures. The Director has as its basis a fundamental integration of the New Evangelization and Missionary Discipleship in a pastoral de conjunto to serve the multicultural pastoral needs of children, youth, young adults, adults (as couples, and also men and women separately) and seniors. The Director is on the Department for Pastoral Ministries Leadership Team and collaborates with the team as well as those who can provide additional support across the Archdiocese.

Director of Marriage and Family Ministry – Full Time, Diocese of Cleveland

The Diocese of Cleveland’s secretariat for Parish Life and Development has three key open positions that they are looking to fill soon. The Director of Marriage and Family Ministry will serve as a member of the Secretariat of Parish Life and Development under the leadership and guidance of the Secretary. The director will work with ministry leaders who prepare couples for marriage, serve the families of the parishes, and assist all who serve in all areas of family life, from conception to death including bereavement support. The focus of this work is to cultivate and become a resource for beginning and sustaining strong marriages and for nurturing healthy families by fostering a culture of connection and discipleship between generations. This will be achieved by offering a variety of educational programs, events, services and resources that support evangelization efforts of the domestic church, i.e. marriage preparation, marriage enrichment, family spirituality, and parenting formation, as well as ministry to divorced Catholics and older adults.

Director of Youth Ministry – Full Time, Diocese of Cleveland

Under the direction of the Secretary for Parish Life, the Director of Youth Ministry is responsible for the development of parish-based pastoral ministry with young and older adolescents in the parishes of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. The Director will assist parishes and parish youth ministry leaders, and coordinate with the Office of Catechetical Formation, Catholic Schools, and other diocesan entities, in the design and collaborative implementation of quality youth ministry programs. Guided by the key findings and pastoral recommendations from the recent study conducted of youth and young adult ministry in the diocese, this position will foster a comprehensive and holistic approach to youth ministry that recognizes the cultural, developmental and spiritual diversity among young Catholics.

Director of Young Adult Ministry – Full Time, Diocese of Cleveland

Under the direction of the Secretary for Parish Life, the Director of Young Adult Ministry will promote effective young adult ministry in the Diocese. This includes coordinating, directing, organizing, leadership training, consulting, activities and networking for young adult ministry leaders. The focus of this work is sharing the vision of relational ministry and fostering a Catholic lifestyle through parish and diocesan young adult programs and activities. The director will be guided by the key findings and pastoral recommendations from the recent study conducted of youth and young adult ministry in the Diocese. In addition, the director provides leadership and coordination in preparation for international world youth days, and represents the diocese at national and regional gatherings.
