Director of Campus Ministry

Job Description: The Director of Campus Ministry at St. Francis Catholic High School in  Sacramento, CA, leads the Campus Ministry team and is responsible for the overall programs in the areas of worship, retreats, student and staff faith formation, and service. The Director of Campus Ministry oversees the Campus Ministry Department and its staff, functioning, and budget. This person is a member of the Executive Staff and works in collaboration with school leaders and the Campus Ministry team to foster spiritual growth and development through events and activities that involve the school community. These include liturgies, student retreats, Christian Service projects, faith formation, the Big Sister program, celebrating the liturgical seasons, and experiences that build up the faith community. The person in this role must be an active, practicing Catholic. This is a full-time, year-round exempt position.

Middle School Religion Teacher

Job Description: Stone Ridge is seeking a Middle School Religion Teacher to begin August 14, 2024. Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, a member of the international Network of Sacred Heart Schools, is a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls, Grades 1-12, with a co-educational Early Childhood Program, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten with over 750 students.

The Middle School Religion teacher is responsible for designing curriculum in alignment with Archdiocese of Washington religious education guidelines for Grade 7 and 8 students and the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education, guiding the faith formation of the students in the religious education program, embracing experiential, interdisciplinary, and inquiry-based learning approaches, one advisory section. The desired candidate is a practicing Catholic who has experience teaching Religion at the Middle School level in independent and/or Catholic schools and has a Bachelor’s in a relevant field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Retreat Coordinator

Job Description: A Retreat Coordinator is a member of the La Salle Manor Retreat Team, who, along with their supervisor, the Vice President, and the Retreat Director, plan and execute roughly 50 retreats annually. Retreats range from half-day to three full days and cover topics ranging from a young person’s relationship with God, seeing God in their everyday life, learning about God’s love for all, team building, leadership skills, and more. Retreat programs also develop young peoples’ personal identity awareness, relationships with peers, and confidence in themselves.

By leading games and ice-breakers, delivering personal witness talks, guiding small group discussions, and building relationships with students on retreat, the Retreat Coordinator has a critical role in the success of the retreat program of La Salle Manor. Retreats often take place at La Salle Manor in our rustic log cabin lodge, but the Retreat Team is also available to provide individual and group services to schools for retreats off-site as well.

Retreat Coordinators usually live on-site in their own community house with private apartment like bedroom. On-site housing, meals, utilities, and other amenities are considered part of the entire compensation package for Retreat Coordinators.

From mid-August to mid-May SPIRITUS Missionaries have the incredible opportunity to live in men/women community households, discover and develop their personal strengths, and impact over 5,000 students in grades 2nd-12th. 

Compensation: Missionaries receive a monthly stipend, one-on-one mentoring, spiritual direction, lodging, food, a gym membership, health insurance, and $3,000 upon completion of the mission year. Location: Menasha, WI.
