Director of Youth Ministry 

Location: Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Lake Oswego, Oregon

Job Description: Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Lake Oswego, Oregon, (ollparish.com) – an 1800-family parish in the Archdiocese of Portland – is seeking a full-time Director of Youth Ministry to assist its youth and young adults to: “Love God. Love others. Make Disciples of Jesus Christ.” (OLL Mission)

Candidates are practicing Catholics with strong personal faith, and excellent interpersonal skills especially in building rapport with middle school, high school and young adult age groups.

Applicants should possess experience in leading a comprehensive youth ministry program, well developed organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with social media and technology. A Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Education, Catholic Studies or a related field is required. The ability to work in a team environment with the parish staff and parochial school is vital.

Director of Youth Ministry and High School Religious Education

Location: Catholic Community of Meridian, MS (St. Patrick and St. Joseph)

Job Description: The Catholic Community of Meridian, MS (St. Patrick and St. Joseph) is seeking a full-time youth minister. Responsibilities includes planning and overseeing all facets of the youth ministry program/events/activities (5th -12th grade) as well as the high school religious education program for 9-12th grade youth including preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation (11th grade). Candidate should be able to work some weeknights and weekends.  Candidate should also be able to work well in shared, collaborative ministry.

Qualifications:Candidate should be active in the Catholic Church and in good standing with the church’s moral teachings; youth ministry experience desired and Bachelor’s degree required.

Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministries

Location: St. John Neumann – North Las Vegas. NV

Job Description: St. John Neumann is seeking a full-time director who is responsible for the vision and direction of our ministry to young people from the 6th through 12th grades and college and young adults (18-35). This position includes weekly or biweekly gatherings, monthly activities, and the direction and oversight of the High School Confirmation process. 

Qualifications: Candidates must have a strong desire to journey with youth and young adults as they grow closer in their relationship with Jesus Christ.  Evenings and Weekends required. Bachelor’s degree in religious education and previous experience in leading youth ministry in a parish is a must.

Director of Catechetical Ministries – St. Patricks Parish

Location: St. Patrick Parish – Anchorage, Alaska

Job Description: The Director of Catechetical Ministries is responsible for the development, supervision and or coordination of all Faith Formation programs in the parish in the model of “whole community catechesis.” He/she is also responsible to coordinate the recruitment, training, support and appreciation of all those involved in catechetical ministry.  The DCM is a member of the St. Patrick’s Parish staff and reports directly to the Pastor. This is a full-time paid position.

Qualifications: Successful applicants must be actively practicing their Catholic Faith, love children and young people, and have a passion for evangelism and outreach, both personally and at the ministry level. Master’s degree in Catholic Religious Education/Administration, Religious Studies, Pastoral Theology or related field is required; may be substituted with career experience in a related field. At least three years’ experience with “whole community catechesis” including elementary, middle and high school students, as well as parents and senior parish members. Job Description: St.Three vibrant rural parishes near Green Bay are seeking a Catholic disciple of Christ that is passionate about igniting the spirit in our 6thgrade through High School parishioners. This person is called to join a joy-filled parish team on a quest to lead all people to the kingdom of God. This 25-30 hour per week, 11 month per year position will function out of the St. Thomas the Apostle parish office in Luxemburg, Wisconsin. This Coordinator is responsible for the leadership, preparation and administration of all aspects of faith formation in the areas of Middle School and High School education. This position oversees activities, catechesis and sacramental preparation (Confirmation), and administers the programs that fall within the committee realm of faith formation and youth ministry.

Coordinator of Children’s Faith Formation

Location: St. Thomas the Apostle Parish – Luxemburg, Wisconsin

Job Description: Three vibrant rural parishes near Green Bay are in search of a Catholic disciple of Christ that is passionate about igniting the spirit in our Grade School and “Bible Time” parishioners. This person is called to join a joy-filled parish team on a quest to lead all people to the kingdom of God. This 20-25 hour per week, 11 month per year position will function out of the St. Thomas the Apostle parish office near Luxemburg Wisconsin. This Coordinator is responsible for the leadership, preparation and administration of all aspects of faith formation in the areas of the Bible Time through 5th Grade for the three parishes of St. Thomas the Apostle, St. Joseph and St. Kilian. This individual will oversee all faith formation activities, catechesis and sacramental preparation (First Communion and First Reconciliation), and administer all programs that fall within the realm of faith formation.

Coordinator of Children’s Sacraments and Education

Location: Saint Bernadette Parish, Appleton WI

Job Description: The Coordinator of Children’s Sacraments and Education, in collaboration with the Family Ministry Team, provides services to the combined-parish Faith Formation program and individual parish Children’s Liturgy of the Word. This part-time role facilitates religious education by guiding and encouraging preschool and elementary students age 3-5th grade and provides leadership to assist the parish community in building a solid foundation of child and parent spirituality. This is specifically through coordinating Children’s Liturgy of the Word, Faith Formation on Wednesday evenings, First Reconciliation and Communion preparation, and building intentional relationships with
young families.

Coordinator of Youth Ministry and Confirmation

Location: Saint Bernadette Parish, Appleton WI

Job Description: The Coordinator of Youth Ministry and Confirmation, in collaboration with the Family Ministry Team, is responsible for implementing programs in our combined-parishes for middle/high school students, including but not limited to weekly youth nights, engaging activities before Wednesday night Faith Formation, summer trips, and developing a team of adult volunteers. The parishes are currently rebuilding their youth ministry programs. Ideal applicants are those who have a passionate love for Jesus, joyful fidelity to the Catholic faith, a heart for youth, a gift for evangelization, and the administrative skills necessary to turn a vision for youth ministry into reality. This position is also responsible for overseeing the Confirmation process by assisting catechists with Confirmation preparation, leading small groups, ensuring students are on track to making their sacrament, and building intentional relationships with teens and their families.

Director of Faith Formation

Location: St. John – Lawrence, KS

Job Description: St. John Parish in Lawrence, KS is seeking a full-time Director of Faith Formation. This person would develop, articulate, and administer a vision and direction for parish faith formation programs. He/she would oversee all faith formation programs and evaluate their effectiveness; develop/implement ideas and programs that would be available for parishioners from womb to tomb.

Qualifications: Ideal candidate will be a bilingual (English/Spanish) practicing Catholic who holds a degree in Catechesis or Theology and/or has equivalent work experience (2-4 yrs) relating to faith formation. This person would also have strong knowledge of Catholicism, intercultural competence in ministry, interpersonal skills, proven organizational and leadership skills and computer/technology competencies.

Liturgical Music Director

Location: St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church – Indianapolis

Job Description: St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, an active parish in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis for over 198 years with a newly built Church in the hill country of Floyds Knobs, Indiana is seeking a Liturgical Music Director.  St. Mary of the Knobs is a vibrant suburban parish with over 1,000 families and a preschool-8 Catholic school whose new church, offices, and gym were dedicated in 2012.  The director would be responsible for the effective preparation, coordination, performance, and leadership of music within the liturgical celebrations of the parish.  

Qualifications: Candidates must be engaging individuals with an ability to lead who possess strong musical talent in a wide range of styles including Catholic hymns, Christian classics, and contemporary music.  Knowledge and training in Roman Catholic Liturgy is required. The position could be 25-40 hours per week and would require a bachelor’s degree in music or the equivalent.

Director of Faith Formation

Location: St. Irene Catholic Community, Warrenville, IL

Job Description: The Community of St. Irene is in search of a vibrant, energetic, pastoral visionary eager to restore our parish community to its roots of service, outreach, social justice, and hospitality. The candidate must work closely with the pastor to direct the faith formation of children and adults giving direction to catechesis of the entire parish and vision to evangelization in light of the Diocesan focus on missionary discipleship.

Qualifications: Full-time, benefitted position, with the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and many weekends. Theology/Education/Pastoral Ministry experience (current or recent) highly preferred. Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred (or working towards) in Theology or Education. Advanced Catechist Certification through Diocese of Joliet or comparable. Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish desirable.
