Director of Youth Ministry and High School Religious Education

Location: Catholic Community of Meridian, MS (St. Patrick and St. Joseph)

Job Description: The Catholic Community of Meridian, MS (St. Patrick and St. Joseph) is seeking a full-time youth minister. Responsibilities includes planning and overseeing all facets of the youth ministry program/events/activities (5th -12th grade) as well as the high school religious education program for 9-12th grade youth including preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation (11th grade). Candidate should be able to work some weeknights and weekends.  Candidate should also be able to work well in shared, collaborative ministry.

Qualifications:Candidate should be active in the Catholic Church and in good standing with the church’s moral teachings; youth ministry experience desired and Bachelor’s degree required.

Director of Youth Ministry

Location: St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Chapel Hill, NC

Job Description: Director of Youth Ministry sought for active college-town parish with growing Latino population. Successful candidate will have BA or MA with theological course work; experience in youth ministry, in curriculum-based and liturgical catechesis, and in “Renewing the Vision”; strong leadership, organizational and communication skills. Parish is integrating Intentional Discipleship into all programs, including Youth Ministry. DYM is directly responsible for continuing to create a prayerful and dynamic environment for youth in grades 9-12 by working with Faith Development team – Junior Youth Minister (grades 6-8), Adult Faith Formation, staff, catechists, and parents. Religious Education Director/Youth Minister 

Location: Catholic Community of Meadville, PA.

Job Description: Under the direct supervision of the Pastor, the Religious Education Director/Youth Minister is responsible for all aspects of ensuring the Catholic spiritual growth of our students. As Religious Education Director, with a team of experienced volunteers, this person will oversee the religious education program including ministry planning; program/curriculum selection and development; volunteer recruitment, training and communication; sacramental preparation; parent communication and partnership; student safety; special event planning; and parish outreaches. As youth Minister he or she will develop and execute a program for students in 6th – 12th grades that includes leadership development, social and service activities, and prayer and worship experiences.

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree or relevant practical experience required. Experience: At least 2-5 years directing and leading others required. Church staff participation and/or leading or developing youth ministry preferred.

Youth Coordinator – St. John the Baptist Catholic Church

Location: St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond, Oklahoma. 

Job Description: St. John in Edmond is seeking a full-time coordinator of all youth (Grades 6-12) programs and young adult formation. The position includes direct leadership of all youth evangelization and discipleship and oversight of young adult programs. Candidates must be fully practicing Catholics in good standing and passionate about Jesus, the Catholic faith and forming disciples. 

Qualifications: Evenings and weekends required. Bachelor’s degree in theology, religious education or related field required. Previous experience in leading youth ministry in parish a must. Considerable background with leadership training and ministry formation highly desired.

Director of Catechetical Ministries – St. Patricks Parish

Location: St. Patrick Parish – Anchorage, Alaska

Job Description: The Director of Catechetical Ministries is responsible for the development, supervision and or coordination of all Faith Formation programs in the parish in the model of “whole community catechesis.” He/she is also responsible to coordinate the recruitment, training, support and appreciation of all those involved in catechetical ministry.  The DCM is a member of the St. Patrick’s Parish staff and reports directly to the Pastor. This is a full-time paid position.

Qualifications: Successful applicants must be actively practicing their Catholic Faith, love children and young people, and have a passion for evangelism and outreach, both personally and at the ministry level. Master’s degree in Catholic Religious Education/Administration, Religious Studies, Pastoral Theology or related field is required; may be substituted with career experience in a related field. At least three years’ experience with “whole community catechesis” including elementary, middle and high school students, as well as parents and senior parish members. Faith Formation Coordinator – Holy Trinity Parish

Location: Holy Trinity Parish – Fort Dodge, Iowa

Job Description: Holy Trinity Parish seeks a full-time Faith Formation Coordinator, responsible for the parish’s faith formation program and to assess needs of parish children/youth and develop appropriate goals and objectives for the total program. Duties include: develop educational programs for children not attending Catholic school; develop sacramental programs for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation; recruit and train volunteers to assist in programs; prepare schedules; maintain records; prepare budget for religious education program; and other duties.

Qualifications: Requirements include a BA degree in Religious Education or similar theological study and/or have equivalent religious course background/experience. Must be a Catholic in good standing who exhibits leadership ability and fosters Christian education in accord with the teaching and practice of the Church; must possess excellent communication/organization skills. This person is called to join a joy-filled parish team on a quest to lead all people to the kingdom of God. This 25-30 hour per week, 11 month per year position will function out of the St. Thomas the Apostle parish office in Luxemburg, Wisconsin. This Coordinator is responsible for the leadership, preparation and administration of all aspects of faith formation in the areas of Middle School and High School education. This position oversees activities, catechesis and sacramental preparation (Confirmation), and administers the programs that fall within the committee realm of faith formation and youth ministry.

Coordinator of Children’s Faith Formation

Location: St. Thomas the Apostle Parish – Luxemburg, Wisconsin

Job Description: Three vibrant rural parishes near Green Bay are in search of a Catholic disciple of Christ that is passionate about igniting the spirit in our Grade School and “Bible Time” parishioners. This person is called to join a joy-filled parish team on a quest to lead all people to the kingdom of God. This 20-25 hour per week, 11 month per year position will function out of the St. Thomas the Apostle parish office near Luxemburg Wisconsin. This Coordinator is responsible for the leadership, preparation and administration of all aspects of faith formation in the areas of the Bible Time through 5th Grade for the three parishes of St. Thomas the Apostle, St. Joseph and St. Kilian. This individual will oversee all faith formation activities, catechesis and sacramental preparation (First Communion and First Reconciliation), and administer all programs that fall within the realm of faith formation.

Coordinator of Youth Ministry

Location: St. Anthony Marie de Claret – Kyle, Texas

Job Description: The Coordinator for Youth Ministry is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing parish level opportunities and events for middle school and high school youth to worship, learn, socialize, and serve. The Coordinator of Youth Ministry will formulate and direct a comprehensive confirmation program and work closely with the Director of Religious Education to ensure a consistent faith formation experience for the youth. The position reports to the Pastor and operates under general supervision with wide latitude for the use of independent judgment and initiative.
