Nominations now open for the Member Advisory Council
Purpose
The purpose of the Member Advisory Council is to provide the perspective and wisdom of the NFCYM membership to the organization’s work, inform the leadership of NFCYM, and provide insight into matters presented to the council.
Composition and Meeting Requirements
The Member Advisory Council comprises NFCYM members from each membership category and aims to represent the diversity of NFCYM members. The council consists of at most 16 members. Council members must be current NFCYM members and maintain their membership throughout their two-year term on the council.
The Member Advisory Council will convene for at least three meetings per program year and provide insight into all matters presented by the staff liaisons and Executive Director.
Responsibilities of the Member Advisory Council
The responsibilities of the Member Advisory Council include, but are not limited to:

- Providing feedback and reflection on current NFCYM programs and their benefit to members.
- Provide input on the Member Satisfaction and Youth Ministry Field surveys and help to analyze their results.
- Brainstorming topics and speakers for future formation events like Momentum and webinars.
- Reviewing and defining member benefits.
- Drafting guidelines for the proper and effective onboarding of new members.
- Discussing needed advocacy to support ministers in the field and address the needs of young people and their families.
- Reviewing and providing feedback on communications, strategies, and campaigns.
- Gauging progress toward completion of NFCYM’s five-year strategy.
- Contributing to the draft of NFCYM’s next multi-year strategy.
- Identifying potential new leaders within the organization.
