Full-Time Missionary

Job Description: Adore Ministries is seeking full-time missionaries to serve in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. The full-time missionary is responsible for evangelizing & discipling middle and high school teens within a Catholic Parish. Full-time missionaries will work a flexible schedule of 35-40hrs a week. They will serve alongside a missionary team to fulfill the vision informing teens through 1on1 discipleship, youth group, bible studies, retreats, and other ways the team discerns to serve that particular mission. They are encouraged to find additional ways in which to reach and serve the community outside of the parish. Full-time missionaries are required to fundraise their Support Team for long-term financial stability and have the freedom to increase their support team when financially prudent. Spiritus Catholic Youth Ministry

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee annual budgeting process using relevant forecasting techniques.
• Maintain full integrity of all financial processes using organizational policies and procedures that are compliant with law, ethical operational guidelines, and best practices.
• Conduct and analyze internal audits to monitor and control cash flow, reduce expenditures, and maximize revenue.
• Manage day-to-day operations of all accounting functions including budgeting, cash flow processing (receivables and payables) and reporting functions.
• Prepare all financial reports and enable the production of the annual audit and tax returns in an effective and efficient manner.
• Lead a team to accurately and effectively complete the work of the Finance Section.
• Work closely with the leadership team, including the Board of Directors’ Finance and Audit Committee enabling them to maintain the integrity of financial decisions.
• Support all organizational function areas such as advancement, human resources, operations and programs by assisting in strategy development, financial management procedure design and goal implementation.

Director of Development for Catholic Campus Ministry at Virginia Tech – Diocese of Richmond

Location: Diocese of Richmond

Job Description: The Catholic Diocese of Richmond seeks a Director of Development for the Catholic Campus Ministry at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA.  

Virginia Tech, which is a public, state university located in the town of Blacksburg with an enrollment of over 30,000 students.

The Director of Development will be responsible for growing and expanding a development program. The Director of Development will work with the Director and Chaplain to find ways to expand and grow the ministry.  Responsibilities also include working with a student development team, writing grant appeals, and leading weekly development meetings and helping to oversee a leadership council.

Requirements: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, 3-5 years of experience in fund development preferred.

This is a full-time exempt position on a salary basis. Salary is commensurate with experience and diocesan pay scale.
