YOUTH MINISTER

Job Description: Responsible for leading youth ministry team in directing parish middle school and high school programs, engaging parish youth in encounter-based ministry programs, forming and leading youth ministry volunteers, coordinating parish confirmation program, and collaborating in creation of faith formation programs for youth from kindergarten through adulthood; must be Catholic in good standing, have ability to demonstrate initiative, innovation and passion for youth ministry, skills working in collaborative environment and be timely and independent in performing key tasks; bachelor’s degree with emphasis in pastoral ministry preferred; position part of faith formation department; must submit cover letter and resume to be considered

COORDINATOR OF YOUTH MINISTRY

Location: St. Joseph the Worker Parish – Pittsburgh, PA

Job Description: St. Joseph the Worker Parish, in East Suburban Pittsburgh, is seeking a committed, energetic, innovative, and Faith-filled full-time salaried Coordinator of Youth Ministries to serve the spiritual and social needs of middle school and high school as well as young adults.

The CYM coordinates all programing for middle school through young adult (e.g., catechesis, retreats, service, socials and spiritual) with the goal of forming disciples for Christ. The CYM is in charge of recruiting and directing a volunteer Core Team to serve the program. The CYM collaborates with the Director of Faith Formation and Pastoral Associate and reports to the Pastor.

DIRECTOR OF YOUTH MINISTRY 

Location: Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Lake Oswego, Oregon

Job Description: Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Lake Oswego, Oregon, (ollparish.com) – an 1800-family parish in the Archdiocese of Portland – is seeking a full-time Director of Youth Ministry to assist its youth and young adults to: “Love God. Love others. Make Disciples of Jesus Christ.” (OLL Mission)

Candidates are practicing Catholics with strong personal faith, and excellent interpersonal skills especially in building rapport with middle school, high school and young adult age groups.

Applicants should possess experience in leading a comprehensive youth ministry program, well developed organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with social media and technology. A Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Education, Catholic Studies or a related field is required. The ability to work in a team environment with the parish staff and parochial school is vital.

Location: Catholic Community of Meridian, MS (St. Patrick and St. Joseph)

Job Description: The Catholic Community of Meridian, MS (St. Patrick and St. Joseph) is seeking a full-time youth minister. Responsibilities includes planning and overseeing all facets of the youth ministry program/events/activities (5th -12th grade) as well as the high school religious education program for 9-12th grade youth including preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation (11th grade). Candidate should be able to work some weeknights and weekends.  Candidate should also be able to work well in shared, collaborative ministry.

Qualifications:Candidate should be active in the Catholic Church and in good standing with the church’s moral teachings; youth ministry experience desired and Bachelor’s degree required.

DIRECTOR OF CATECHETICAL MINISTRIES – ST. PATRICKS PARISH

Location: St. Patrick Parish – Anchorage, Alaska

Job Description: The Director of Catechetical Ministries is responsible for the development, supervision and or coordination of all Faith Formation programs in the parish in the model of “whole community catechesis.” He/she is also responsible to coordinate the recruitment, training, support and appreciation of all those involved in catechetical ministry.  The DCM is a member of the St. Patrick’s Parish staff and reports directly to the Pastor. This is a full-time paid position.

Qualifications: Successful applicants must be actively practicing their Catholic Faith, love children and young people, and have a passion for evangelism and outreach, both personally and at the ministry level. Master’s degree in Catholic Religious Education/Administration, Religious Studies, Pastoral Theology or related field is required; may be substituted with career experience in a related field. At least three years’ experience with “whole community catechesis” including elementary, middle and high school students, as well as parents and senior parish members. COORDINATOR OF YOUTH FORMATION AND MINISTRY

Location: St. Thomas the Apostle Parish – Luxemburg, Wisconsin

Job Description: St.Three vibrant rural parishes near Green Bay are seeking a Catholic disciple of Christ that is passionate about igniting the spirit in our 6thgrade through High School parishioners. This person is called to join a joy-filled parish team on a quest to lead all people to the kingdom of God. This 25-30 hour per week, 11 month per year position will function out of the St. Thomas the Apostle parish office in Luxemburg, Wisconsin. This Coordinator is responsible for the leadership, preparation and administration of all aspects of faith formation in the areas of Middle School and High School education. This position oversees activities, catechesis and sacramental preparation (Confirmation), and administers the programs that fall within the committee realm of faith formation and youth ministry.

This person is called to join a joy-filled parish team on a quest to lead all people to the kingdom of God. This 20-25 hour per week, 11 month per year position will function out of the St. Thomas the Apostle parish office near Luxemburg Wisconsin. This Coordinator is responsible for the leadership, preparation and administration of all aspects of faith formation in the areas of the Bible Time through 5th Grade for the three parishes of St. Thomas the Apostle, St. Joseph and St. Kilian. This individual will oversee all faith formation activities, catechesis and sacramental preparation (First Communion and First Reconciliation), and administer all programs that fall within the realm of faith formation.

DIRECTOR OF FAITH FORMATION

Location: St. John – Lawrence, KS

Job Description: St. John Parish in Lawrence, KS is seeking a full-time Director of Faith Formation. This person would develop, articulate, and administer a vision and direction for parish faith formation programs. He/she would oversee all faith formation programs and evaluate their effectiveness; develop/implement ideas and programs that would be available for parishioners from womb to tomb.

Qualifications: Ideal candidate will be a bilingual (English/Spanish) practicing Catholic who holds a degree in Catechesis or Theology and/or has equivalent work experience (2-4 yrs) relating to faith formation. This person would also have strong knowledge of Catholicism, intercultural competence in ministry, interpersonal skills, proven organizational and leadership skills and computer/technology competencies.

LITURGICAL MUSIC DIRECTOR

Location: St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church – Indianapolis

Job Description: St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, an active parish in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis for over 198 years with a newly built Church in the hill country of Floyds Knobs, Indiana is seeking a Liturgical Music Director.  St. Mary of the Knobs is a vibrant suburban parish with over 1,000 families and a preschool-8 Catholic school whose new church, offices, and gym were dedicated in 2012.  The director would be responsible for the effective preparation, coordination, performance, and leadership of music within the liturgical celebrations of the parish.  

Qualifications: Candidates must be engaging individuals with an ability to lead who possess strong musical talent in a wide range of styles including Catholic hymns, Christian classics, and contemporary music.  Knowledge and training in Roman Catholic Liturgy is required. The position could be 25-40 hours per week and would require a bachelor’s degree in music or the equivalent.

Director of Youth Discipleship and Evangelization

Location: St. Philip, Corpus Christi, TX

Job Description: St Philip parish seeks a dynamic, faith-filled and qualified individual to continue the development of comprehensive ministry that engages our youth. The Director of Youth Discipleship and Evangelization (DYDE) walks with young people and their families to become active Disciples of Christ who fully participate in all aspects of parish life. This is accomplished through a process of evangelization that includes pastoral, liturgical and catechetical formation. The DYDE provides primary leadership for the design, implementation and evaluation of parish ministry to our youth. The DYDE continually seeks to form parents and other adults to also walk with our youth in their faith in order to make disciples of them as well.

Qualifications: Candidates who possess effective leadership, strong personal communication and organizational skills will be given preference. All catechetical instruction must be in keeping with the magisterial teachings of the Catholic Church.
