Middle School Youth Minister

Job Description: Immaculate Conception is searching for an individual with a heart to lead middle schoolers to Jesus. The middle school youth minister is a full-time, 40 hours a week employee, with benefits, who will work with parish middle school schoolers (6th-8th grade) to grow their relationship with Jesus Christ, commitment to holiness and lifelong discipleship, and involvement in the life of the Church. Primary responsibilities will include building up middle school youth group, relational ministry, organizing retreats, and creating and developing offerings for middle schoolers to grow in their faith.

Coordinator of Religious Education

Location: St. Louis, MO 

Job Description: St. Paul the Apostle Parish is looking for two Coordinators of Religious Education.  One for grades K-2. The other for Grades 3-5 & Special Education.  Both are part-time (25 hour per week) positions. Each Coordinator is responsible for activities within the assigned grade levels, and works directly with the Director of Religious Education. The Coordinator maintains a clear understanding of the needs of the students, families, catechists, volunteers, and staff.  The role focuses on creating curriculum, organizing, and sustaining volunteers, facilitating meetings (including presenting in large group settings) and providing information to volunteers.

The position offers a flexible work schedule, but Wednesday evenings would be required throughout the school year and some weekends for special events. This is an ideal position for someone with prior teaching experience.

Full-Time Director of High School Religious Education and Youth Ministry

Job Description:

St. Mary Parish in Shrewsbury, MA is seeking to hire a Full-Time Director of High School Religious Education and Youth Ministry. Responsibilities include weekly and seasonal programs for 300 students in Grades 7 – 11, recruiting, training and mentoring catechists, Confirmation preparation, retreats & service opportunities, and growing youth ministry programs. The ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications: Bachelor or Masters’ Degree in theology and/or religious education, Youth ministry/religious education certification preferred, 2-3 yrs. experience preferred, good organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, proven leadership ability and strong relational skills. Salary/benefits commensurate with education and experience. St. Mary’s is a large, suburban, active, and diverse parish.

Coordinator of Youth and Young Adult Ministry

Job Description: Holy Trinity is a parish of 918 families.  This position assists with and coordinates, under the supervision of the Director of Pastoral Ministry, a comprehensive faith formation and discipleship program for youth, grades 6-12, including sacramental preparation.  Supports youth, young adults, and their families to live discipleship as faith-filled stewards.  Twelve-month, full-time with benefits.  Salary based upon degree and experience, $35,000 – $45,000.  Preferred Bachelor of Arts in Theology, Religious Education, or Religious Studies, an equivalent degree in a related field or equivalent training and experience.  Completed application and resume to be received no later than April 10, 2022.

Director Youth Ministries

Location: St. Ignatius of Loyola, Spring, TX

Job Description: The DYM at St. Ignatius of Loyola is to provide direction and response to the needs of the Young Church while nurturing an environment for the youth to share their unique gifts with the larger parish community. 

Responsibilities include: Should be a practicing Catholic who adopts St. Ignatius as their home parish in order to further develop relational ministry skills. Planning, implementing, and evaluation of the parish’s Jr. & Senior high programming in respect to a comprehensive parish youth ministry program while adhering to the USCCB’s document, Renewing the Vision, and all Archdiocesan guidelines. Recruits, develops, and directs catechists in service to youth ministry and faith formation programs. Develops and manages an annual budget for Youth Formation and summer programs.

Duties include:

  • Evaluate and implement curriculum for Jr. & High school catechesis and formation.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of accurate records / files for attendance, finances, counseling, purchases / expenses, programs, etc.
  • Ensure that opportunities for spiritual, as well as social, growth are provided each season of the youth calendar (i.e., Mass, celebration of the sacraments, scripture study, trips, service projects, retreats, etc.)
  • Prepare articles for the parish bulletin, newsletter, and website

Youth Minister

Job Description: The youth minister is responsible for the faith formation of children in grades 9 through 12 and their parents, including youth programs, education, counseling and Confirmation sacrament preparation; and is a resource to all parish families. The position requires: Planning and facilitation of Sunday evening youth group, retreats and gatherings as a liaison to Fiat Ventures, Confirmation preparation, youth mass and volunteer opportunity coordination, office hours and other duties as assigned.

The applicant should be a confident speaker and have engaging leadership skills, business etiquette, excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. The Youth Minister must be a practicing Roman Catholic and adhere to the teachings of the Catholic faith and have a college degree, at least 2 years of youth ministry experience and knowledge of MS Office. A Spanish speaker or musician is a plus.

High School Youth Minister

Job Description: This position will work as part of a youth ministry team to coordinate high school youth ministry and preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. They will have the opportunity to work with people in a variety of ways: a guide and mentor for teens, a partner with parents/families, and a leader for a dedicated group of volunteers.

Some responsibilities include: coordinating weekly youth ministry sessions for high school youth, organizing retreats and events, coordinating a two-year Confirmation preparation program, and regularly communicating with teens, volunteers, and families.

An excellent candidate would be gifted at relational ministry and possess outstanding communication skills. They would be seeking a flexible schedule but a willingness to work some nights and weekends. They would have a Bachelor’s degree and would be a role model for living the Catholic faith.

Job Description: The Assistant for Youth Ministry will be responsible for assisting with a youth ministry that promotes: spiritual formation, catechesis, community life, evangelization, service opportunities, & leadership development. Director of Youth Ministry

The Director of Youth Ministry (DYM) serves as a spiritual leader and oversees a comprehensive relational youth ministry program. In cooperation with young adult leaders, parents, and teens, the DYM strives to build a welcoming, inclusive, and loving community that provides opportunities for young people to encounter God. The DYM works to support positive youth faith development by creating an environment where teens can learn about Catholicism through thought-provoking experiences and engage in conversation with leaders and peers to explore their beliefs. The DYM functions as the coordinator of all youth ministry events. Presently, this includes but is not limited to: formation meetings, 3 annual retreats, monthly service and fellowship events, monthly worship opportunities, and 4 summer service trips.
