Q&A with Lesly Barragan

Q&A with Lesly Barragan, Intern

Where are you based?
Saint Paul, MN

How long have you worked for
NFCYM?
A great 9 months!

Outside of work, what do you like to do?
When I am not working for NFCYM I love to spend time with my family, binging ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ or the Harry Potter series while crocheting. I also love cooking! I enjoy going on walks in the summer and staying close to the heater during the winter. I love learning and keeping busy with arts and crafts or documentaries.

What is something about you that most folks might not know?

Most people might not know that I was voted most fashionable and prom queen at my high school! Back when I was cool.

What you do at NFCYM?

As an intern for NFCYM I spend as much time learning and growing in ministry and faith as I do assisting NFCYM staff in different projects and administrative needs.

What is the best part about your job – why do you do what you do?
I love being in a ministerial environment where you can truly feel the Holy Spirit providing peace and wisdom. I aspire to be a youth minister and I was blessed to be accepted into such a caring and inspirational team that truly cares about youth and ministers. Anything I can do to serve this mission is an honor.

Why should members connect with you?
I would love to assist all members in answering any questions about NFCYM and direct any questions I may not be able to answer to the appropriate staff member. I am also here to provide insight on any project or idea that members might have.
