Forming Young Disciples
Ministry in the post-pandemic Church challenges those who accompany youth to look for new ways to engage and form young people as missionary disciples. Not only will this require alternative strategies and outreach to young people and their parents, but our own journeys will demand that we risk exploring some new paradigm-changing models and methods.
Are you ready for such a challenge?
Join ministry leaders from across the country in this fifth edition of MOMENTUM as we dare to explore the research, practices, and methods that will form young disciples in the decade ahead.
Visit Participant Page (Password REquired)
Event Format
You are invited to join ministry colleagues from across the county to examine, discuss, and reflect on the questions above, and more, as we gather for a four-hour virtual symposium sponsored by NFCYM.
All sessions will be recorded and available for viewing post-event

A Day in the Life of a Young Disciples
Presented by Dayrin Perez, Archdiocese of Los Angeles
Our young people are glorifying God by striving to live out their discipleship and continue to follow Jesus in their daily lives. As they live this life of discipleship, what are their hopes? Their joys? Their struggles? What do they need from you and I that sustains them and encourages them to grow in their relationship with Jesus on a daily basis? Come hear from young people directly, be inspired and walk away with insight to continue the accompaniment of young people on their discipleship journey.
360 Degree Ministry
360 Degree MInistry

This workshop will explore practical ways to engage young people through technology, media, and accompaniment.
Going Mobile: Reaching Teens Online
Going Mobile: Reaching Teens Online
Presented by Michael Marchand
Today, young people experience the world through the screen of their mobile device. They spend their free time online, stream 23 hours of video every week, make decisions based on the opinions of influencers, and account for 60% of the user base of TikTok (the fastest-growing social media network ever). To really understand and reach them, we need to understand their world. We need to be present where they are. We need to go mobile.
Group Discussion & Closing Session

Participants will gather and then join breakout rooms to share insights gained from the sessions and discuss ways to practically implement the learnings in ministry settings. Finally, everyone will unite once again and our emcees will close us out in prayer.
