Outside of work I love to spend time with family, weight lift, watch movies (especially musicals, rom-com, and Marvel movies), and travel both short and long distances.

What is something about you that most folks might not know?

I come from a very big Mexican family where laughter is never a missing element. I am very close to my sisters and my parents.

I love to craft and decorate for parties.

I love an adrenaline rush, roller coasters? Love them! Sledding down a volcano in Nicaragua? Done! Ziplining between two islands in Mexico & in the Costa Rican rainforest? Yupp! Hoping to go sandboarding in Peru next.

What do you do at NFYCM?

As the Communications Manager, it is my responsibility to create proactive communication strategies that share NFCYM’s mission, brand, products, and services to our community of those who accompany young people. Some of those communication strategies may include newsletters, content creation, social media, branding, etc.

What is the best part about your job – why do you do what you do?

The best part of my job is being able to work with an organization whose mission is to share the gospel and empower those in the field of youth ministry. My youth minister made a huge impact on my life and is now one of my greatest friends and mentors. NFCYM was a huge part of her formation, and thanks to her, I was introduced to the field of ministry and became a youth minister after college. To work for an organization whose members are also striving for the same mission is the greatest feeling.

Ask Natalie about the communication strategies which support NFCYM.
