Welcome Brigette Burke

Brigitte Burke

Senior Project Manager

Brigitte joins NFCYM with over 20+ years of experience in the field of youth and young adult ministry. For the past three years, Brigitte has been working for Ministry Training Source as a researcher and consultant on ministry projects with national implications, such as the National Dialogue, the Saint Meinrad Young Adult Initiative, the Center for Faith Justice NeXt Level Project, and the National Youth Leaders Study.

Before becoming a consultant, Brigitte spent six years as the Associate Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry for the Diocese of Baton Rouge. After that, she became the Associate Director of Youth Ministry for the Archdiocese of New Orleans for five years.

During her time at the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Brigitte was also the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for NFCYM from 2013-2016 and would then become the Chair of the Board of Directors from 2016-2018.

This position excites me due to the potential impact it can have on the lives of young people, their families, and the wider Catholic Church...It has become increasingly evident to me that ministering to young people and their families in the Catholic Church today, requires innovation and creativity in unprecedented ways. As such, NFCYM and its mission hold a special place in my heart, both for what it has accomplished in the past, and for the possibilities NFCYM possesses to catapult ministry to a new era.

Brigitte lives in New Orleans, Louisiana with her husband, Donovan, and their 4 kids. She enjoys supporting her children at sporting events and spending time outdoors on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

As Senior Project Manager, Brigitte will oversee the Accompaniment Project and the Partnering with Parents Initiative to ensure they are completed in a timely and quality fashion and within budget along with the creation and implementation of the various communications components of the grant projects.
